Who is Shela?
Like each of you, I have a story. What I have come to realize is that this story is not who I am, yet, it has served to guide me to remember & connect fully with my truth. Without this story, I may not have come to this place of knowing who & what I AM and that each moment provides opportunity to rethink everything I think I know. The journey for me is most often gentle, however, it can sometimes feel merciless. Nevertheless, I allow & fully embrace this path as it unfolds in each moment, with each breath.
My personal story includes what I perceived to be intense periods of darkness as a young child. As a teenager, anger, rebellion and alcohol abuse manifested through me. In my early 20s, I felt I did not belong anywhere and my life was spinning out of control. I decided to go into the air force to discover a sense of purpose. I ended up serving for eight years. I followed it up with a successful career in corporate America. I spent long, grueling hours sacrificing myself for the benefit of my employers for the false sense of security while chasing the all mighty dollar! :)
Most of my life, I searched outside myself for answers. I felt as though I was spinning my wheels: always trying to 'get somewhere else'. During some deep hours of darkness, I turned within in hopes of finding a light to guide my path. The more I turned inward, the deeper my connection became with all that IS/God/the Universe/Infinite Intelligence. I attended workshops, traveled, journeyed with sacred Ayahuasca & developed soulful connections with like-minded people. I have had so many amazing teachers & guides along the way. n my early 30s, I discovered the healing power of my breath. For me, this spiritual tool has provided me the most gentle and direct route to experience my divine essence, remain in the present to simply BE with what IS happening in any given moment. Through conscious awareness, I have slowly become unattached to 'my story'.
At the age of 34, I was single & became pregnant. I knew in my soul that deep transformation was about to occur. Rather than look for all the ways it would not work, I embraced the experience fully. Continual shifting & expansion persisted in my pregnancy experience as I connected deeply with the soul of my daughter growing inside me. Old conditioning & fears occasionally surfaced even into the birth, yet, there was an unwavering knowing of innocence & purity within me that expelled all doubt. My daughter, Kiran & I had our perfectly pure, intimately ecstatic and sacred birth at home in February, 2009. Motherhood has proven to be magnificently inspiring & creative; so much more than I could have ever anticipated. This sweet angel reminds me to look deeper inside myself with each interaction. Today, I embrace each breath, each moment on this path of mine.
My combined education, life experiences (specifically the natural, water birth with my daughter) & deepened spiritual practice have led me passionately to begin this work. I am clear that my purpose today is simply to guide you to reconnect with your breath to recognize your own love, beauty, and magnificent wholeness to move you gracefully into a space of allowing your life to unfold. At that same time, helping you to take personal responsibility and create the life you desire. I believe that through heart-centered connection and full, deep breathing we can raise our vibration and human consciousness to live authentically in alignment with pure potential in every moment.
I am so thrilled to share my heart & soul, passion for life, wisdom, joy & inspiration with you. I choose in each moment to live fully from my heart by trusting in the mystery of the unknown and exploring life with wonder because I know it is in this space that everything flows. I am here to support you in your own journey; however that looks and unfolds for you. My soulful intention is to guide you through recognition of the breath into full integration of body, mind and soul in order to live and act from the sacred space of divine wholeness. I am fully committed to consciously co-creating with you heaven here on earth!
